Upgrade BlaB! AX to BlaB! AX Pro

The databases of BlaB! AX and BlaB! AX Pro are identical and the upgrade is very easy. You only have to replace the files and the folders keeping your old config.php file and the subfolder /attachments.

Method 1: FTP Upload

1. Navigate to the AdminCP of BlaB! AX with your browser and leave the browser tab open. Why? You might be unable to login when you replace the files and the database is not yet updated.
2. In another browser tab navigate to our support center and download BlaB! AX Pro - full initial pack under DOWNLOADS.
3. Extract the archive in an emtpy folder on your computer e.g. blabax-pro and delete config.php, /install, /attachments.
4. Upload with an FTP program blabax-pro to your webhosting server web-root folder.
5. Move /config.php and /attachments from your old BlaB! AX folder to blabax-pro.
6. In the browser tab where you left your AdminCP navigate to YOUR-URL.COM/blabax-pro/admin.php - this will update the database if necessary.
7. Delete your old BlaB! AX folder and rename blabax-pro to whatever you wish.

That's all.

Method 2: Cpanel

1. Navigate to the AdminCP of BlaB! AX with your browser and leave the browser tab open. Why? You might be unable to login when you replace the files and the database is not yet updated.
2. In another browser tab navigate to our support center and download BlaB! AX Pro - full initial pack under DOWNLOADS.
3. Upload the archive file to your web-root directory public_html of your webhosting server from Cpanel File Manager, right click on the newly uploaded archive file and select Extract.
4. With Cpanel File Manager copy or move config.php and /attachments from your old BlaB! AX folder to the new BlaB! AX Pro folder and delete the subfolder /install.
5. In the browser tab where you left your AdminCP navigate to YOUR-URL.COM/blabax-pro/admin.php which will update the database if necessary.
6. From Cpanel File Manager delete your old BlaB! AX folder and rename blabax-pro folder to whatever you wish.
